TV Show Announced

Frontier Grappling Arts debuts on cable and satellite in January 2014

From the 9/6 newswire...

"It was revealed during the supershow that FGA has worked out some sort of television deal with Spike. The channel, which airs in about 98.6% of households in the United States, will provide a huge platform for the promotion. It is a huge opportunity for FGA to gain exposure, grow its audience, and bring in some new talent. But some questions still remain.  Is this a one time deal? Will the company be airing quarterly specials? Or will FGA have a regular program on Spike? Those questions will be answered in the weeks to come."

In the coming weeks, it's been revealed that this isn't a one time deal or a series of special broadcasts throughout the year. Starting in January 2014, FGA will be producing a bi-weekly television wrestling program with original content.

FGA was founded in November 2011, rolling out a schedule that featured weekly events. Since February 2012, FGA has been producing bi-weekly DVD tapings for its shows and supershow events. Over time, an outside media group took interest in FGA and began to provide some financial backing for the company starting in November 2012. As FGA continued to soar, gaining critical acclaim and increasing its fanbase along the way, the media group began negotiating with Spike about a potential TV deal. The deal was reached a few weeks back. And over this past weekend's DVD Taping, FGA officially announced the name of it's cable tv show...

The very first episode of Battleground will take place on January 4, 2014 from Secaucus, New Jersey. After nearly three calendar years, FGA will finally be making it's national TV debut. This is a huge step up from only being seen in the Mid-Atlantic, Tri-State and New England regions of the U.S. FGA had expanded its audience throughout its tenure, be it joint shows with Peach State Wrestling & and UK's Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER, and even being at one time a member of the United Wrestling League. But being seen on this stage is a huge step forward for the company.

Back in 2011, FGA had the tagline of "Respect. Achieve. Ascend." Suffice to say, the company has lived up to those words. Throughout the years, FGA has gained the respect of various big name wrestlers and companies in the industry. The company has achieved critical success. And it has ascended to one of the top promotions in the world, whether it's independent, national or global. Now, FGA looks to go to the next level in January 2014 with Battleground.
