If rumors are to be believed, some people will never be satisfied.
The ratings are in. Battleground 1.2 saw FGA jump up to a .3 in the ratings, which was up from a .2 for the debut edition of Battleground. However, Spike execs still have some complaints regarding the show.
If rumors are to be believed, Spike officials were not pleased with last Saturday's program. For starters, Spike is once again upset that FGA has not promoted Bellator at all. The network wanted at least two plugs for the MMA promotion. But those requests were not met. Also, Spike officials didn't find Chris Q's taunting of them amusing. In fact, the Big Bad of FGA has once again been fined an undisclosed amount for his use of profane language. In addition, Spike officials are not keen on the male on female violence in FGA, citing the Willow Swaine & Camellia D. Magna vs. Jimmy Page & Thaddeus Grey match as a prime example. According to them and their research, viewers find male on female violence to be off putting. Instead, they would like to see more matches like Jaxie Wyatt vs. Cyncity. So much so that they would rather have FGA's female grapplers compete in their own separate division. Granted, this is all hearsay. But if this is even remotely true, then the relationship between FGA and Spike has gotten off to a pretty rocky start.
