Lions Cup Tournament Returns

Dates for the 2014 Frontier Lions Cup have been announced!

The Frontier Lions Cup has been a gateway to the FGA World Championship. The tournament has not only been a showcase of skill, but it's also been used as a springboard to take talent to the next level. AJ Fairchild and Sean Sands have taken advantage of this and went on to win the FGA World Championship. Which FGA grappler will attempt to follow in their footsteps in 2014?

16 grapplers will be selected for the Qualifying Round. The Qualifying Matches will take place during the Carolina Double Shot weekend on July 12 and 13. The eight grapplers that qualify will go on to Above & Beyond III, where they will take part in the Frontier Lions Cup tournament on August 23.

The tournament will take place over the course of three rounds. All Quarterfinal matches will have a 15 minute time limit. All Semifinal matches will have a 30 minute time limit. The Finals will have a 60 minute time limit. The winner will not only win the Frontier Lions Cup trophy, but they will go on to challenge the FGA World Champion.

Check back in the coming weeks for additional details on the tournament.
