Champions Fate

Five men walked into All-Star Showdown III as champions. But would they leave Philadelphia wearing gold?

In the first championship match of the evening, Chaz Holiday was able to defeat Joshua Black for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship. Some would argue that Holiday was the true Legacy Champion all along. It was Black who challenged Holiday to a title match after Holiday had just finished competing in the ring. Never one to back down from a challenge, Holiday accepted. But it was a trap all along as Joshua and his cohorts screwed Holiday out of his championship. But Heather Black and Johnny Windham weren't able to help Joshua at the supershow. After being locked inside of a steel cage, Joshua could only rely on himself. He was able to get the jump on Holiday early after attacking him with the cage door. But he wasn't able to fend off Holiday, who captured the title for the second time.

In the second championship match of the evening, Riley Owens defeated Jared James to retain the Pride Championship. Riley was able to win the first fall, putting all the pressure solely on Jared. But "Mr. FGA" was able to bounce back and tie things up. During the third and final fall, it looked as if Jared was finally going to win FGA gold. But once again, Jared came up short in a championship match as Riley was able to retain.

In the third championship match, the Super Mario Wrestling Bros defeated the Young Guns. The team of Blake Jones and Riley Owens had gelled from the first moment they teamed up. The two then ran through the Dynamic Duos Tag Team Tournament, defeating Casey Black & Lance Murphy, Chaz Holiday & Hadley and finally the Sparklebuddies to win it all. It looked as if the Young Guns had all the momentum. The SMWB, despite having one hell of a 2014, went into the match as the underdogs. But the SMWB were able to show once again why they hold the gold as they defeated Jones & Owens.

In the main event, Jimmy Page was able to defeat Dom Harter and Dan Herrera to win the FGA World Championship. After losing in the Gold Rush Rumble, Page wanted another shot at Dom and his title. But the Tenacious Little Bastard would only give Page the shot if Dan Herrera, his fellow Bro, also got a shot in the same match. Page agreed, but he insisted on the match being a Three Way Dance. That way, once Herrera was eliminated, he could finally get his hands on Dom. But both Harter and Herrera had other plans. It was widely believed that Herrera would once again help Harter, despite what happened previously. But to he surprise of everyone, Herrera showed that he was out for #1 as he slammed Harter down to the mat. After a back and forth struggle, Herrera eliminated Harter from the match. Unfortunately for Herrera, it wouldn't be a repeat performance as Page was able to put him down to win the World Championship.
