Last Minute Adjustments

Changes have been made to the Rey del Aire tournament.

When the idea was conceived, the Rey del Aire tournament looked like the image below:

The participants were as follows:

* Ash
* Camellia D. Magna
* Pierre J. Harris
* Caspian Cicero
* Larkyn
* Chaths
* Xavier Daniels
* A mystery opponent

These eight grapplers were to be broken into two semifinal matches. The semifinal matches would be 4-Way Fray matches. The rules were simple. All four grapplers would be in the ring at once. There would be no count outs. First fall to a finish wins. The two winners would then compete in the finals for the Rey del Aire trophy.

One semifinals match would see Ash vs. Pierre J. Harris vs. Camellia D. Magna vs. a Mystery Entrant.

The other semifinal match would be Caspian Cicero vs. Larkyn vs. Xavier Daniels vs. Chaths.

This is no longer the case.

Since the announcement of the tournament last month, Caspian Cicero has been quickly let go by FGA. Xavier Daniels also departed from the promotion. Due to unknown issues, Pierre J. Harris has been replaced by FGA newcomer Danny Diamond.

After a reshuffling of the deck, here is how the Rey del Aire looks:

Semifinal #1
Mystery Opponent vs. Danny Diamond vs. Chaths

Semifinal #2
Chaths vs. Camellia D. Magna vs. Danny Diamond.

The "King of the Air" tournament will see a lot of high flying action. But which one of these six grapplers will soar to new heights to become the first Rey del Aire winner? Find out on Saturday, August 23 at Above & Beyond III, live from the James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL!
