Over the weekend, Chris Madison announced via twitter than he was retiring effectively immediately.
"It kills me to say it...ladies and gentlemen, thanks for the memories," said Madison on Sunday morning. Madison went on to state that, "it's been overdue. 14 years in an industry in which most don't make it 14 days."

In their only title match in FGA, The Black Hand defeated the champions, the Sparkebuddies, by disqualification at Capital Combat. A rematch between the two teams was rumored to be announced for the 3rd Anniversary Show. But Madison's sudden retirement halted those plans.
In his last public statement, Madison intimated that he's "Not going to be one of these guys who parade to the ring and take a beating when the tank is on empty..."
Following Madison's departure from the wrestling world, his tag partner, Tommy Knox, has also left FGA.
