Brawl Turns Wild

Update on Zero McHannon

TMZ Update: July 26th, 2015

A Frontier Grappling Arts wrestling match escalated to the streets in Irvine, California last night, outside of the Bren Events Center. After a match between Jimmy Page and Zero McHannon went from the arena and to the public streets, the local police were informed to defuse the situation between the pair of wrestlers for FGA.

It seemed to be settled between all the parties involved, and both men were going to be set free of their disorderly conduct charge. They gave both Page and McHannon some time to gather their things to process them into the systems and make sure both men were clear from warrants, prior charges included. However, it wasn’t long before the Irvine Police Department came across a problem involving Zero McHannon’s identification.

The Irvine police informed us this morning that they decided to bring in Zero McHannon downtown because he gave them false identification in the form of a passport. They tried to run information on the alias name given: “Mako Mancini”. The police department informed us that they weren’t sure why Zero McHannon tried to pass off a fake I.D., but they felt it was enough to bring him in for further questioning.

McHannon was release from the department earlier today without any distinct details on the disorderly conduct or false identification charges. The sheriff of the venue was asked about the charges against McHannon and he only had this to say:

“We were willing to let Zero off with just a ticket for the Disorderly Conduct without charging him, but after he tried to give us false identification under the name of ‘Mako Mancini’, I think that chance went out the window. We wanted to know more on why he was carrying a false passport, but he wasn’t willing to give us any answers. He left today with both charges on his record and a $1,300 dollar fine to pay.”

It has been noted that the false identification was a heftier fine than the disorderly conduct. It has also been noted that Zero McHannon was leaving the police department today with Romeo Price, who has been recorded seeing Zero’s way out of the jail cells before being called in front of the magistrate, a routine that normally comes on the next Monday follow the Sunday arrests. We tried to get a word from Romeo Price, but he decided not to share a comment with our reporters. We also asked Zero McHannon for a moment of his time, and he gave us a moment, even though it was brief. We asked him about the charges that he collected on his visit to Irvine, and to share any details about why he had false identification under the name of ‘Mako Mancini’. McHannon had this to tell our team.

“I made a mistake and I’m going to own up to it. The officers here in Irvine were just doing their jobs and there’s no one to blame except for myself. I’m not going to lie or beat around the truth. I’ve been traveling the word under a variety of names throughout the past year, and I can honestly say that I’m a bit surprised that it decided to catch up with me now. There are no regrets on my end. I did what I did and there’s no taking it back, only moving forward from it. I thank everyone for their continued support and I will have some more answers coming soon about why I made that decision. Just have faith in me to tell the truth of my situation.”

That’s all that McHannon would share with us at the time. While staying humble, he dodged our questions on why he would pretend to be a completely different person over the course of the year he ‘vanished’. Hopefully we will all get some answers soon, and we will be here to update you with those details when they proceed forward, right here on TMZ!
