Pride Contenders

FGA have announced the #2 and #3 Pride Contenders for the FGA Pride Championship.

Since joining FGA earlier in the summer, Johnny Cannon has staked his claim as the best pure wrestler in all of FGA. In the months that have followed, Cannon has proven that he can definitely hang, gaining notable victories over some of FGA's top grapplers. Cannon certainly came into FGA with a buzz and a laundry list of accomplishments. But it was here in FGA that Cannon proved to FGA Officials that he could back up all of his boastful claims. Because of this, Cannon has moved up the ladder, securing himself a spot as the #2 contender to the FGA Pride Championship.

The #3 contender is a grappler that, when called upon, has put on spectacular performances worthy of "Match of the Night" honors. This is a grappler that exemplifies everything that a Pride Champion should be. This grappler is technically sound. This grappler has credibility throughout the world, amassing championships in the wrestling world's hottest promotions. This grappler is humble, almost to a fault. After getting screwed out of the Pride Championship several months back, this individual has slowly began their climb back into contention. After adding another notch in the win column with a victory over Jimmy Page, Evangelista now finds herself as the #3 contender to the Pride Championship.

At Above & Beyond IV, Cannon and Evangelista will battle it out to determine who will face the winner of Carmine/Karma for a championship match. Will Evangelista's long road back to the top prove fruitful? Or will Cannon come one step closer to winning the title he's been eyeing for months?
