The following news just came across our desk here at FGA HQ. But we've just gotten word that Leanne Evangelista will not only return at the Gold Rush Rumble pay per view, but she'll be competing in the Gold Rush Rumble match!
Evangelista had been sidelined for the last few months after being injured at the hands of Johnny Cannon. During a match against Cannon on 11/28, the British Mamba went out of his way to headhunt. His aggressive and dirty tactics resulted in Evangelista suffering a C2 and C3 fracture. The timetable that she was given for a return was 3-6 months.
Three weeks ago, Evangelista tweeted that her personal goal was to be back in ring condition for the Rumble. It appears that all the time she spent pushing herself during her rehab has paid off.
This will be Evangelista's second Rumble appearance. She first participated in last year's Rumble, where she not only recorded four eliminations, but she also set the record for longest time at 44 minutes. Can Evangelista outdo last year's performance? What will happen if Cannon and Evangelista find themselves in the Rumble at the same time?
We'll find out on Saturday, April 16, live and only on pay per view!
