Grudge Match Set

"Battle-Hardened Vet" gets his long awaited revenge.

Nine months ago, Chris Bond's livelihood was taken from him at the hands of Johnny Cannon. The British Mamba, who had sidelined Evangelista with a neck injury just a few weeks prior, took out his frustrations on Bond after a loss. The post-match assault sidelined Bond for an indefinite period of time. The injury to Bond's right knee, which had already been surgically repaired in the past, looked to have been a career ender. But a few weeks ago, the former two-time Pride Champion made his return, much to the shock of the current FGA World Champion. While Cannon was trying to fend off Zero McHannon, Bond made it known that this wasn't about the title. It was about the time that Cannon stole from him. Cannon had dispatched fellow "New King" Danny Diamond to take care of Bond. But The Prized Gem fell short on last Saturday's Vertigo event. Cannon already has a tough task in front of him in the form of McHannon and Sunshine Scandalous Tony Carmine. Now, Cannon's got another huge match to prepare for.

On September 4, Cannon will step into the ring with the man that he sidelined for more than half a year. This Grudge Match will take place at "First Wave", live and only on AxxessNet!
