Another Injury

The Battle-Hardened Veteran has been sidelined.
At last night's "First Wave" special, Chris Bond suffered an injury at the hands of Johnny Cannon in the main event. Cannon trapped Bond's arms in a crucifix hold. While Bond arms were trapped, Cannon proceeded to deliver a series of savage elbows to the skull. When Bond wasn't able to defend himself, the ref quickly called for the bell. However, that wasn't enough for The British Mamba, who continued the assault for several seconds after the match.

It has now been learned that Bond suffered a Grade II concussion. In addition, Bond received 10 staples to close the gash on his forehead. We've been told that Cannon has been issued an undisclosed fine. He will also have his pay docked for his next pay per view match.

There is no timetable on when Bond will return. The former two-time Pride Champion declined to comment on the incident.
