Disciplinary Action

FGA Grappler Suspended

Earlier today, the Frontier Grappling Arts Executive Committee met to discuss the actions that occurred at the end of Molly Reid’s match against Johnny Cannon. As Evan Envi was at ringside as an official guest commentator, he was on the receiving end of a Molly Kick that knocked him unconscious.

After the meeting was over, the committee announced that Molly Reid will be suspended for two weeks and fined an undisclosed amount. Committee member Leonard T. Asherman released this statement.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to suspend Molly Reid for her actions against Evan Envi during her match on Saturday night. Evan Envi was at ringside by invite, and in an official announcers capacity and as such we are treating this like any other attack on a member of the FGA crew. We cannot allow our announcers, our referees, or any of our staff to be attacked without consequence. FGA holds all of its staff in the highest regard, and we will look out for them every chance we get. We took everything into consideration, especially the severity of the injury. Evan Envi still cannot move his jaw and has informed us that this may affect his future in wrestling.”

When asked about Evan Envi possibly provoking Molly, or deserving what happened to him, Asherman had this to say.

“While we understand that Ms. Reid is rightfully frustrated, she cannot take things into her own hands like she did. This entire situation is something that we as the executive committee have been keeping an eye on and will decide the best course of action. We will meet with her at some point in the near future to discuss the issues that she raised prior to her match.”

When reached for a comment, Molly Reid said she was not going to give an official statement, but that the punishment was “absolute horseshit”
