Frontier Grappling Arts will once again be holding its annual tag team tournament and it looks to be the biggest one yet. The 2017 Dynamic Duos Tournament, which will feature both FGA signed teams and guest stars, will have 24 teams competing for the coveted crown. The tournament will kick off on July 8 and will last through September 2, where the Semifinals and Finals will take place. The winning team will not only be crowned the 2017 Dynamic Duos Tag Team Tournament winners, but they will also receive a guaranteed FGA World Tag Team Championship Match.
As of now, six teams have been selected for the tournament. They are:
Elysian Empire (Elon & Emery Elysian)
Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad (Dan Herrera & Peaches)
Through Diamond Eyes (Avaset Kaiser & Eloria Master)
Serpent's Touch (Faye Valentine & Kimiko)
Pedro Gonzales & Maritza Diaz
Bristow & Barnes (Nate Bristow & Tully Barnes)
As of this writing, the Elysian Empire are the current World Tag Team Champions. While nothing has been made official, there is a rumored World Tag Team Title Match taking place at All-Star Showdown VI. Should the Empire (or whomever challenges them) leaves the Pay Per View with the titles, then their spot in the tournament will open up.
There are currently 18 spots open. Registration will be opening up later on this evening. First come, first serve. Teams that continue to register after the cut off will be kept on standby in case they need to be called upon as an alternate.
