Earlier this afternoon, "The Burning Heart" James Edwards officially signed a deal with FGA's Flashpoint brand.
Edwards, who was taken 16th overall in last September's Brand Extension Draft, spent the past several months clashing with many of the strong personalities on Vertigo. Most notably, new Pride Champion Fujiko Mine, GM Brandon Macdonald and the person that many have called the object of his obsession, Kol. After losing out on his chance to challenge for the Pride Championship at 2018: A New Odyssey, Edwards' contract expired on Wednesday, March 7. Later that week on March 10, the last episode of Flashpoint emanated from Edwards' hometown of Lexington, KY. Edwards watched from backstage before meeting with Flashpoint GM Hadley Herrera. A contract was drawn up over the next few days and earlier this afternoon, Edwards signed his name to the dotted line. Will GM Macdonald have a response to Edwards' departure?
