Breaking News

BREAKING NEWS

Late this evening, Frontier Grappling Arts came to terms on a deal with a former FGA wrestler.

A little under an hour ago, FGA came to terms on a deal to bring back "The Rogue" Michael Tomkins and his manager, "Electric" Timmy Brown, to FGA. Tomkins came to prominence by winning the Chase for the Crown Tournament back at 2012: A New Odyssey. This event was a one night, three round tournament to crown the first ever FGA Champion. On his road to victory, Tomkins defeated Scott Reave, Chandler Scott and ultimately Jared James in the finals to become the inaugural champion.

The very close relationship between Tomkins and Brown soon began to come apart at the seams. Brown would continue to assist Tomkins in his matches, even after Tomkins had repeatedly told him otherwise. This lead to the debut of Micky O'Reilly, who attacked Tomkins and revealed that it was Brown who brought him into FGA. Now having to go up against the tough Irishman and his mentor, Tomkins faced Brown in a brutal Street Fight at the Spring Breakage supershow. It was at this event when Brown turned on O'Reilly, reuniting with Tomkins and revealing that their split was a ruse all along.

After losing the FGA Championship to Blaine Harrison in early March, Tomkins remained near the top of the FGA power rankings. He also kept himself in championship contention. He and Blaine would have their long awaited rematch at All-Star Showdown. It was there that Tomkins unsuccessfully challenged "The Metal Heart" for the FGA Championship.

Tomkins last appearance in FGA was against Matt Shields at the 6/16 DVD Taping in Edison, New Jersey.

What brought Tomkins and Brown back remains to be seen. When will we hear from them? Does Tomkins plan on being a mystery entrant in the Gold Rush Rumble? Does he plan on reclaiming the FGA Championship for a record second time? What exactly is his agenda? All of these questions will hopefully be answered in due time.
