Newswire (4/10/13)

On today's newswire, FGA announces a new hire, a championship match has been added and three new dates have been announced.

What is one company's loss is another company's gain. Earlier today, Alexia Brandt officially signed to Frontier Grappling Arts. The wrestling newcomer has also been seen 3WL as well as FGA affiliate Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER. Brandt will be making her in-ring debut in the Gold Rush Rumble. It's a low-risk, high-reward opportunity for “The Third Wave Threat” as she could earn herself an FGA Championship Match in her very first match with the company. But this match will be like none other. She will have to outwit and outlast several of FGA's finest to be the last grappler standing.

Chandler Scott defeated Madman Szalinski at FRONTIER'S “Commonwealth Carnage” event this past Sunday night in Belfast. After the win, Scott was declared the new number one contender for Jay Pride's GFC World Heavyweight Championship. But before that match occurs, Scott has another shot at a championship. It has now been confirmed that Kevin Hardaway vs. Chandler Scott at “Only The Strong Survive” will now be for the Pride Championship. Will Hardaway be able to restrain himself and adhere to the Pride Rules? Or will Scott take advantage of the champion's anger and use it against him? And after defeating Hardaway in a non-title match and then fighting to a draw in the championship match, how long will FGA Nation have to wait to see Hardaway-Pooler III?

After the success of the January 26 and 27 shows, FGA will be holding yet another double shot weekend. After “Only The Strong Survive” on April 28, FGA will be returning to the South Hall of the Bayfront Convention Center in Eerie, PA on May 11. The following day, FGA returns to Hall C inside the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland on May 12. And in another future date that's been added, FGA will be making its debut inside the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ on June 21. Tickets are on sale now for all three events.
