Newswire (4/9/13)

On today's newswire, we have news on the latest conditions of four FGA wrestlers, a one night tournament, and a summer showdown with another promotion.

Both Bob Pooler and Kevin Hardaway appeared to be banged up after their Pride Championship Match that has gotten unanimous rave reviews. Reports indicate that neither man is seriously injured and we can look forward to them both participating at Only The Strong Survive.

One man that is more than banged up is Johnny Blayze, who was the victim of a brutal attack at the hands of The Murder. Before the tapings even began, Blayze was lured into a trap by an unknown woman. Unfortunately, Blayze took the bait and The Murder attacked with a baseball bat. Blayze suffered a concussion and needed stitches after the show. While he will not be wrestling on the 4/20 DVD Taping, Blayze will be in Monroe, New Jersey after requesting some mic time on the show.

The participation of Jonathan Collins at Only The Strong Survive is now in question. After suffering a vicious beating at the hands of LEGION at Exodus Pro's “Invincible” iPPV this past Sunday, Collins has been reported to be in serious, but stable condition. Family and close friends have been tight-lipped on any further details on Collins' condition. But as of right now, his participation in the Gold Rush Rumble, as well as his awaited match with Tigre Oro, appear to be in doubt. We'll keep you updated on the latest.

With Kevin Hardaway doing a great job of establishing the Pride Championship, and with the FGA Championship being one of the most lauded titles in all of independent wrestling, could FGA be introducing a third championship? Nothing is official as of yet. But sources inside the FGA Office say that the company is strongly considering adding a third title.

This is still several months away. But FGA will be holding a one-night tournament on July 6. While the name of the tournament has yet to be revealed, sources say that the winner could “strike it rich.”

After the success of both “Collision!” and “FRONTIER vs FGA”, FGA will be holding another joint show during the summer! While the location and the name of the company have yet to be revealed, sources say that once this becomes public, it will have the independent wrestling community buzzing!
