Quick Hits for 10/4

An assortment of news and notes on FGA.

- Jimmy Page had some explaining to do. After a seemingly harmless conversation, page decided to attack the rookie Hunter Werth. On the attack, Page said, "The fact of the matter is...pretty simple, uhm, he told me... "Me, getting here is a sign of GOOD...LUCK." Page went on to say that, "Luck.....Hunter......is the naive man's fantasy. What I've done Hunter...is survive. And believe me, you wouldn't last a freakin' day in my shoes. So Hunter, it's time I give you a reality check. I want to teach you a harsh lesson, that when you get in that ring, and when you hear that bell.... Ding, Ding, Diiiiing....echo. I want you to pray for your LUCK...I want you to....because your LUCK.....isn't going to stop what's coming next."

- Things continue to escalate between The Shoot Kings and the Super Mario Wrestling Bros. It seems as if all the SMWBs want is a little respect. But The Shoot Kings, the new GFC World Tag Team Champions over in FRONTIER, aren't going to easily give them respect. While Szalinski and Clauson weren't in Chicago Ridge, their manager, Brydon Talinsdale, was. And he uttered their sentiments, stating that, “It’s as simple as this, boys. The Shoot Kings are on the throne, and they are getting ready to conquer the land of the GFC Tag Team Championship and add the UK Dragons as their first land taken for the Empire on the 29th. When you next see them, they will have even bigger crowns, shiny new prizes, and the envy of all of those who doubted them. You two are stuck in the Land of Make Believe with Mr. Rogers while we’re running this bitch… You two are just dog walkers. You want respect? It’s EARNED! You want it from the Kings, you just got told the when and where!”

- During the show, commentators Kevin Clement and Evan Grayson were presented a small brown box. Inside of the box was a stuffed panda bear... that was missing its head. Who would send such a thing and what does it mean?

- Anton Chase and Craig Jacobs were supposed to have a Best of 3 Series. But that series may have ended after one match as Chase dominated Jacobs, leaving him a broken mess. With one pretender out of his way, who is next in line for the self-professed "Wrestling God"?

- FGA has recently sent out feelers for four Canadian wrestlers to participate during January and February of 2014. Word has it that FGA will also be looking to bring in three more sets of wrestlers to represent other countries. More news on this will be made available during the month of November.

- Speaking of November, FGA's Two Year Anniversary Show is right around the corner. Last year saw "The Metal Heart" Ben Hanson return as a special guest referee for the A.J. Fairchild and Chandler Scott FGA Heavyweight Championship Match. Also on that event, arguably the greatest run in FGA history started when Chris Q defeated Alistair Mangold in a Dark Match. What will this year's event bring? The return of a familiar face? The beginnings of the next breakout star? Only time will tell.

- Word around the office is that FGA Officials have a huge Tag Team Championship match planned for Final Frontier. With the tag team scene heating up as of late, this match will definitely prove who FGA's top team is.

- We've seen the early set designs for the new FGA show in January show. It looks pretty good, to be honest. This design, as well as the name of the new FGA show, will be made available next month in November. FGA heads to Spike on January 4, 2014.

- Frontier Sports Group, who has been a financial backer of FGA since October 2012, has picked up their support significantly over the past eight months.  So much so that there's speculation of FSG eventually buying out FGA (if the process hasn't started already). The media promotion was the driving force behind the TV deal with Spike.

- FGA is currently looking for one to three more teams to round out its tag team division. The company has its sights set on three teams in particular. But no overtures have been made.

- Lastly, FGA would like to welcome Sylar Drake, Troy Vincent, Diana Dime and Vincent "Abdullah Fathi" Williams, whom have all signed deals within the past week.
