What Goes Around Doesn't Come Around

This past Saturday in Chicago Ridge, Johnny Karma looked to get a little playback on Chris Bond. But things didn't exactly turn out the way The Karmic One wanted.

It was nearly a month ago during the Columbus-Milwaukee double shoot weekend that Johnny Karma made his intentions known. He interrupted Bond's celebration speech on 9/14, stating that Bond did nothing to deserve a Pride Championship match. If anything, it should have been Karma who got that shot. He also managed to rub Bond's face in the fact Karma pinned him fair and square a few months back. Later on that evening, Bond went on to lose his Pride Championships to Chaths.

The following night on 9/15, Karma took on current #1 Contender for the FGA Heavyweight Championship, Sean Sands. It was a back and forth contest that saw Karma control the action at times. But in the end, Sands was able to defeat Karma after a well-timed distraction from Bond.

So on 9/28 in Chicago Ridge, Karma looked to return the favor during Bond's match with Bond Pooler. Bond looked to be ready to put Pooler away with the End of Days. But it was then that Karma's music hit. He and Cherry Baum proceeded to make their way down to the ring, distracting Bond as Karma once again laid into him on the microphone. Once Pooler was able to recover, he hit Bond with his finisher. It seemed as if that was all she wrote. But Bond was able to reach deep down within himself and get his shoulder up before the three count. Moments later, Bond was able to counter a hold into his End of Days finisher, putting down Pooler for the three count. To say that Karma was irate would be an understatement.

Despte this, things did not turn physical. It looks as though both men will wait until "Respect is Earned" on 10/26 for that, when the two square off. But should Bond be able to defeat Chaths next Saturday in Dearborn, then the match at "Respect is Earned" will be for the Pride Championship.
