History Made

FGA finally has an Undisputed Champion.

In the wake of Zero McHannon walking out of FGA with the World Championship last October, a tournament was held over the next month to crown a new champion. In the end, it was Cordy Stevenson who won the four round tournament to become the new World Champion. But the honeymoon period didn't last long when McHannon made his unannounced returned at Final Frontier, attacking Stevenson from behind after the main event.

McHannon showed up again on the first Vertigo of 2017, claiming himself as the real World Champion since he was never defeated and was "defending" his championship elsewhere. Stevenson wasn't having any of that, telling McHannon than when he left, he gave up the right to call himself the World Champion.

Unfortunately for Stevenson, FGA the Championship Committee decided on a 3-2 vote to recognize both her and McHannon has having legitimate claims to the FGA World Championship. So the match was made for Grapple Kingdom. World Champion Cordy Stevenson would take on World Champion Zero McHannon. The winner would be recognized as the Undisputed Champion. This past Saturday at Grapple Kingdom, Stevenson was able to defeat McHannon. In that moment, all doubters were silenced. All critics had to give their just due. Cordy Stevenson is FGA's Undisputed Champion.

The only question now is, what's next for Cordy Stevenson? Will McHannon find his way towards a rematch? Will Dom Harter set his sights on the new champion after just winning the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Title and creating his own history in the form of a Grand Slam? Or is there an unknown challenger on the horizon? Stay tuned.
